Maximo Castillo

Máximo Castillo was born on May 11, 1864 in the small town of San Nicolás de Carretas, Chihuahua Mexico.

On November 9, 1910 and at the seasoned age of 46, Castillo joined the first elected President of Mexico; Francisco I. Madero and the Maderista movement.

Máximo began his revolutionary venture by participating in the first planned uprising supporting the implementation of Madero’s Plan of San Luis Potosí marking the onset of the Mexican Revolution on November 20, 1910.

This was the beginning of a revolutionary storm that swept Mexico, and in particular the state of Chihuahua.
